Grifola Curly - a description of where the toxicity of the fungus grows

Curly griffin - the largest mushroom of the tinder family, it has many other names that are known to many lovers of quiet hunting: “lamb’s head”, woody chicken, meytake and others.

 Griffin curly

It grows on trees and old stumps, attaching to the latter with its slender legs. The peculiarity of this species is that curly griffon grows in large colonies (fairly large clusters of fruit bodies) that reach significant sizes. Meitek is highly valued not only for its nutritional value, but also for its use in areas such as cosmetology and medicine, which is caused by the antiviral and antitumor properties of this fungus.

Description of the species

Meytake refers to edible mushrooms, you can recognize it by a fairly large number of fleshy and shapeless caps in places of growth, wedge-shaped, converging into one rather thick base. The diameter of one cap of this type of tinder family, gracefully turning into a leg, reaches 100 mm in diameter.

The bottom of the caps of the mutton mushroom and the upper part of its legs have a thin, fine-tubular layer, which is also spore-bearing (spore powder is white, spore-shaped ellipsoidal). The color of the outer surface of the fungus depends on the degree of illumination and can vary from grayish olive to grayish pinkish.

The very head of the "woody chicken" has a rough and wrinkled surface with an uneven, wavy edge, the structure is fleshy, dense. The legs of the mushrooms are flat, grayish in color, coiling into a single base. The central base is thick and rather short.

The pulp of the fungus is white, very fragile (fragile), with a pronounced mushroom aroma, nutty taste.

Most often, this mushroom is found growing at the base of various types of deciduous trees, striking their wood with a characteristic white bloom (mainly beeches and oaks). The peak of fruiting is from August to mid-autumn. Note that this type of mushroom does not bear fruit every year.

The weight of one process of a mutton mushroom can reach 20-25 kilograms, while its diameter is up to 1 meter. One of the main advantages of griffles is a high rate of growth - shoots grow very quickly and reach a weight of 10 kg in just one week. Meitek is not eaten by insects or worms.

Spread

In nature, such a mushroom as griffle is found in many countries (Europe, Asia, America). Growth season is in the middle of summer - autumn. The main place of growth is deciduous forests (beech, oak groves). Although rare, Maitake can be found growing near coniferous trees (pines).

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that this type of polluted mushrooms is considered to be quite valuable, it is rare, the fruiting seasons are not regular. In fact, this is the main reason that a person began to cultivate lamb fungus. Mushroom farms engaged in the artificial cultivation of curly griffins in Asian countries are especially common.

Features of the workpiece

Harvesting of the oakwood begins in the fruiting season and continues until late autumn. Note that for medicinal purposes only the collection of young specimens of griffins is carried out. Older mushrooms have a more fibrous and cruel structure, differ in bitter taste.

 Features harvesting curly griffins

Harvesting young mushrooms involves carefully cutting off the fruit bodies using a sharp mushroom knife, after which the harvested crop is cleared of grass and foliage and dried (heat treatment at a certain temperature - it should not exceed 50-60 degrees). Dried mushrooms are carefully ground into powder, such mushroom seasoning is stored for no more than 3 years.

Composition and properties

Curly griffin is a useful edible mushroom, the fruit body of which contains a large amount of vitamins and microelements that are beneficial to humans. For example, organic polysaccharides have a positive effect on the entire human body as a whole. Also, scientists have found that the griffin has quite powerful anti-inflammatory and antitumor properties, has a high antiviral activity, which speaks of its value in the treatment of such a dangerous disease for mankind as AIDS (a natural antiviral doctor).

The antitumor efficacy of curly griffles is several orders of magnitude higher than the activity of most anticarcinogenic drugs, which are based on complex chemical compounds.

The polysaccharides contained in the fungus are capable of regulating cholesterol and sugar in the blood rather quickly, resulting in normal values.

We draw attention to the fact that many drugs manufactured by pharmaceutical companies, which are based on the extract of griffins, are distinguished by such properties as complete absence of toxicity, good tolerance by patients, which, actually, favorably distinguishes them before their synthetic analogues.

Taking medications with a base from an extract of griffins is recommended by experts in the treatment of diseases such as atherosclerosis, diabetes, overweight, leading to obesity, increased blood pressure and others.

Medical applications

Today, this mutton mushroom has found its application in the pharmacopoeia of many countries. This is explained by the fact that maitake extract is an active component of most active bio-complexes. In addition, it has unique properties that allowed it to receive the status of one of the most powerful antitumor fungi known in the world.

The use of curly griffins in medicine

Thanks to the active substances contained in the fruit body of the mutton fungus, the processes of neoplasm growth and metastasis are significantly slowed down, and healthy cells receive effective protection from exposure to radiation and drugs used for chemotherapy. An increase in the cessation of tumor growth has been observed, especially in the early stages of the development of oncological diseases.

This type of fungus has also proven itself very well in gynecology, in the treatment of pathologies such as fibroids, fibroids, mastopathy. Often, an extract of this gift of nature is used to reduce unpleasant menopausal symptoms and PMS (reduced nervousness, characteristic hot flashes, bouts of sweating). Meytake treatment helps normalize hormones.

It is recommended to use meytake and those people who want to reduce body weight, which is achieved through the normalization of metabolic processes, hormonal levels and metabolism. We draw attention to the fact that the extract of this type of pipe is included in the well-known dietary system from Japanese specialists (Yamakiro).

In folk medicine
The fact that the curly griffon has valuable healing properties, humanity has long known. Since ancient times, meytake as a dry powder has been used externally as an effective antiseptic for treating wounds, ulcers, burns, as well as many skin diseases.

Broth griffons well helps with diseases of the bronchopulmonary system (tuberculosis), with the appearance of severe headaches. Often meytake tincture is used in folk medicine for the treatment of diseases of the digestive system, hypertension. Also, the decoction of the fungus has a high anthelmintic effect, activates and strengthens the immune system.

In cosmetology

Maitake is one of the components that is included in many products, mainly for the care of body and face skin. This can be explained by the fact that the griffle has the following properties: it soothes quickly, relieves inflammatory processes, and also, which is important, it can have an antioxidant effect.

Masks and creams made of lamb fungus effectively renew the cellular tissue of the epidermis, significantly increasing the elasticity of the skin, feeding them, cleansing and effectively combating the signs of aging.

In cooking

Grifola is one of the most popular mushrooms in Japanese cooking. This is due to the soft and tasty flesh of the meytake, as well as its excellent aroma and nutritional value. Mutton mushroom is one of the main components of such a traditional Japanese dish as nabemono, and maitake is often used to prepare various sauces, seasonings, first and second courses. In its raw form, griffin is not recommended.

Historical facts

The first mentions of the beneficial properties of such a mushroom as curly griffon are described in the treatises of ancient Chinese medicine, written by ancient sages (no less than 1200 years BC). These historical documents mentionthat the maitake mushroom is capable of treating many diseases: diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, nervous disorders and even hemorrhoids.

Grifol got its name from the name of the mythical bird - the griffin. Translated from Japanese, maitake means nothing more than a dancing mushroom. This is due to the fact that in its form the griffin resembles a nymph in dance.

Other names of curly griffins - mutton mushroom or "mutton head", are popularly due to the peculiarities of its growth, implying a collection of caps that resemble the head of an animal in appearance (characteristic shape and gray-brown color).
