How to make rose oil at home

A bouquet of roses, donated by a loved one, can be the basis for anti-aging and anti-cellulite oil. Red and white inflorescences contain components that regenerate the skin, heal burns and awaken desire. But how to extract nutrients from the petals at home? Marinate roses in special formulations.

Main components

Medicinal oil is advised to prepare from flowers grown in their own garden. Wild roses and even wild rose buds will do. Shop bouquets are often treated with various chemical compounds so that they stay fresh longer. But the roses bought from grandmothers, trading next to the subway, suitable for the preparation of fragrant extract.

Only the harvesting should be fresh. It is advised to collect the base oil in the early morning, preferably before dawn.In the petals covered with dewdrops, a high concentration of essential substances. Only the tops will be needed, it is not necessary to cut the stems.

Roses are soaked in vegetable oils. Preference is given to options with a subtle scent. Sunflower is not suitable, it is better to take olive or corn. You can use peach or almond, but they can kill the scent of roses.

Some recipes use cotton wool. The blank is taken out of the package in advance and left for a few hours on a plate or blank sheet of paper. Vata should lie down in the open air, so that the hospital smell can erode from it, otherwise it will mix with the scent of roses, and a cross between an antiseptic and essential oil will turn out.

Ingredients preparation

Heat treatment kills bacteria that can cause fermentation and spoil the cosmetic. In addition, the oil with microbes causes inflammation and rashes on the skin.

It is recommended to disinfect the bottles, in which the pink extract will be stored. Both cans and bubbles must have tight lids that do not allow air to pass through. Ideal if the containers are made of dark glass. The cosmetic product is afraid of ultraviolet and oxygen and loses its useful properties upon contact with them.

Sweet option

If the pink extract is intended for the preparation of scrubs and balms, olive oil can be replaced with sugar. You will get a thick syrup with a rich aroma, which is also suitable for internal use.

You will need a liter jar, 500–600 g of sweetener and 3 times more petals. For this option, roses are advised to mix with wild rose, because the wild plant contains ascorbic acid.

250–300 g of sugar are poured at the bottom of the tank. It should make a layer height of 1-1.5 cmThen the jar is filled with peeled and dried petals. The workpiece is well tamped with a wooden spoon. The height of the pink layer is 5–6 cm. Above, the aromatic plant is filled with the remaining sugar. There is no need to tamp or shake.

The container with the future extract is clogged, hidden from the sun. Candied petals insist 2.5–3 months. During this time, the sweetener will absorb the juice and essential substances. Then the thick mass is separated from the vegetable base. Sweet extract is stored for no longer than 3-4 months, always in the refrigerator.

Cold and warm ways

In face creams and handmade soap add extract of roses infused with vegetable oil. It will take 2 cups of petals and about 150–200 ml of liquid base. Flower extract is prepared in two ways.

 Rose oil

In the first embodiment, the oil is not heated. The jar is filled with clean petals, lightly tamped down so that the roses put the juice, and pour the base. The corked container is hidden for 20 days in a cool and dark place. After a day, the petals are picked up and shaken to blend with the herbal ingredient.

Pink extract is filtered using gauze.Flower base carefully squeezed. Fragrant oil is divided into several small portions and poured into vials with tight lids. The extract of roses is stored for about 5 months, but only in the refrigerator. In a warm room, the extract quickly loses its beneficial properties.

If you need oil with a rich odor, resort to the second method. The olive or almond base is brought up to 50–70 degrees on the steam bath. Fresh petals are poured with hot food. For 200 ml of oil take 2.5-3 glasses of vegetable ingredient.

Billets are mixed in a glass container. Corked and hidden from the sun for 2 days. The jar should be kept warm. Then the oil is filtered, the petals are carefully pressed. The olive base is reheated, but only to 45–50 degrees. Liquid poured a new batch of fresh roses. The procedure with insisting and changing the petals is repeated 10 to 15 times. Stop when the oil gets a very strong and concentrated smell.

The shelf life of the extract obtained is from 3 to 5 months. The extract of roses is added to the cream for the face or body, as well as in the oil for massage. Cosmetic can replace toilet water.

Emergency ways

How to get flower extract in 10 days? Use sterile cotton wool. You will need a clean liter jar, 1–2 cups of petals and a little olive oil. Half of the glass container is cotton wool, and the second - the floral component. The billet is slowly poured with a cold liquid base. The oil should soak the cotton and cover the petals completely.

A jar of pink extract is sent to the illuminated window sill for 12 hours. Be sure to seal tightly so that the ether compounds remain inside. Flowers should always be in the sun. Ultraviolet heats the petals and starts chemical reactions.

Every day, old plants are removed, replaced and discarded. A jar filled with new roses. Inflorescences collected at dawn. The procedure is repeated for 10-15 days. Duration depends on the plant variety. The main thing is that the oil has a rich aroma.

On the last day, cotton wool is removed from the jar along with the petals. Squeeze and discard, and the oil is poured into bottles of dark glass. The extract is hidden in the refrigerator.

Old bouquets of roses are not thrown away.Dried petals can be the basis for rejuvenating and tonic essence. It will take 2.5-3 glasses of billet and about the same almond oil. Flowers are poured into a glass bowl and poured with a liquid base. She must completely cover the roses. The billet is sent to a water bath and kept until the petals are transparent. It is recommended to wipe the face with at least 2 times a day with cooled and strained essence. This tool saves the skin from wrinkles, peeling and replaces the winter cream.

Get a professional rose oil at home is impossible. But in the herbal extract, cooked with their own hands, not less microelements and essential compounds. And to keep the flower extract longer, it is advised to add a little tocopherol, which is a natural preservative.
