How to clean a burned enameled pan

Any housewife in the house has a large number of dishes. It so happened that the most popular and beloved is enameled. Externally, it is very beautiful, and for the price is available to everyone without exception. But there is one caveat - enamelware requires delicate care, because enamel can be very easily damaged and ruined.

 How to clean a burned enameled pan

It happens that you are distracted by something in the cooking process, and the pan is left on the stove with jam or milk porridge. As a result, everything boils away, it begins to no longer boil, but to fry, forming a “beautiful” soot. To cope with it qualitatively and quickly, without harming the enamel coating - this is the main task. After all, every time throwing a pot is also not an option.

Cleaning methods at home

In order to clean your favorite pot, it is not necessary to spend money on expensive means, because it can be done with the improvised means that can be found in each kitchen.

  1. Cleaning with salt. When the pan is burnt, you need to wait for it to cool completely. Then pour five tablespoons of salt to the bottom and leave for three hours. After the time has expired, only wash with hot water. If the soot does not lag behind the enamel, then you can try boiling with saline solution: pour the same amount of salt with water and boil for about an hour.
  2. Activated carbon. To get rid of sludge, take one pack of pills (you can buy at any pharmacy), grind into powder and pour carbon on them in a saucepan. After an hour, fill with water (necessarily cold) and leave another 70-80 minutes. The enamel coating is then easily washed.
  3. One of the easiest ways is cleaning with acid (vinegar, lemon juice, citric acid). It is necessary to pour the acid into the pan, cover and leave for three hours. Now you can launder.
  4. Soap solution. If the pan is not strongly burned, then you can simply boil it with soapy water for about 40 minutes. Add liquid soap to hot water.
  5. Serum.Pour the serum a couple of centimeters above the soot and leave it for a day. After that you can wash the pot in the usual way.
  6. Soda. Make a soda solution: about six spoons add to water and leave overnight. In the morning boil for an hour.

In order to find your ideal cleaning method, you may need to try a few. After all, the degree of soot is different and time and the complexity of its elimination already depends on it.

Modern way

Cleaning enamel can be done using food. This method is in demand mainly from young housewives who want to experiment.

 A modern way to clean the pot

  1. Sparkling water. Many have already heard about the properties of a carbonated drink like Coca-Cola: it is not only sweet and tasty water, but also an excellent detergent that eliminates scum, bloom, carbon and so on. Pour Coke into the pan and leave for an hour. If the pollution is very strong, then you can boil for half an hour.
  2. Fruits and vegetables. Finely chop the sour apple, pear or onion. Spread evenly over the bottom and fill with water. Boil for about an hour.
  3. Coffee. Take the coffee grounds (preferably from natural coffee) and apply on soot. Leave the lid on for three hours.
  4. Mustard. Dissolve the mustard powder to a state of slurry, cover the place of soot and leave overnight. Wash the pot the next morning.

To the listed, you can add another proven and good cleaning method - boiling in a paste. You will need a pot larger than the one that burned. You will need to pour water into it, pour out half a pack of soda and a tube of silicate glue. Boil the resulting mixture, then immerse into it the burned enameled utensils. "Cook" for about half an hour. Nagar should wash well.

Carbon removal with cold

All of us once had to tear off chewing gum from clothes. The most popular way is to send your favorite item to the freezer. In the case of soot, cold, too, should not be neglected. Place the enamel saucepan in the freezer for two hours. Then, under a stream of cold water, remove carbon deposits.

If after the removal of soot, there are ugly dark spots, then grease the sponge with vodka or alcohol and wipe these places. After this procedure, the pan should shine again.

Also for cleaning, you can use special tools designed specifically for enamelware, but, as a rule, they are always expensive and some are not very effective.

It is strictly forbidden to use!

  • means for cleaning of a deposit in a grill and other furnaces;
  • various gels and powders for cleaning plumbing;
  • chlorine-containing agents;
  • washing powders and other chemicals.

All this can cause significant harm to your health. Means that are not intended for cleaning enamel, not only will not help to wash off soot, it is also unknown how they will behave when heated.
