Ways to remove wax from clothes

Experienced housewives know firsthand how difficult it is to get rid of wax, if you do not have sufficient skills. Washing in this case will not help, because the paraffin does not dissolve in water, even under the action of powder. It is also important to consider the type of fabric.

Cotton or linen

  1. If there is a question regarding the purification of linen or cotton fabric, then be patient. The wax is firmly deposited between the fibers of the natural material, which greatly complicates the task.
  2. Before the main manipulations, examine the manufacturer's recommendations, which are indicated on the product label. Perhaps the fabric can not be ironed or have any other tips. Push off from them.
  3. Now in order to eliminate paraffin, you need to take a napkin and an iron. You can proceed. Spread the thing on a table or other flat surface, the dirt should be placed on the outside.
  4. Cover the spot with a paper towel or napkin, you can use an unnecessary cotton rag. Turn on the iron and iron the fabric for 25-30 seconds.
  5. Gently lift the napkin, there should be traces of wax on it. If the stain has not disappeared completely, repeat the steps until the desired result is obtained.
  6. If the wax remains on the clothes after that, place the napkins on both sides, internal and external. Similarly, iron and clean, evaluate the result.
  7. When the paraffin itself is gone, you can replace the fat trail at the place of its presence. Sprinkle it with salt and rub it, shake it off, send it to the machine or clean it manually.

Synthetics

  1. It is not recommended to act on things from synthetic material by high temperatures, therefore in most cases the use of iron is unacceptable. But what to do in this situation?
  2. Take a basin, pour hot water into it, arm yourself with a cloth or a brush. Straighten your clothes in a bowl, leave for 2-3 minutes. Remove, do not squeeze, gently collect the wax to the center and get rid of it.
  3. Do not rub paraffin contamination too hard, so that the heated wax does not penetrate deep into the fibers. If all to no avail, soak the cotton sponge in turpentine and gently remove paraffin.

Leather

  1. The main advantage of leather things is that these products do not absorb pollution. Or partially absorbed, which in any case facilitates the task.
  2. If you find a drop on your favorite purse, pants or coat, send the item to the freezer for a while. When the wax hardens, you can easily remove it.
  3. If the influx is too extensive, fold the fabric in place of the contamination so that the wax crumbles. Sweep it off in any convenient way. Moisten a cotton pad in lotion for makeup, wipe the residue.
  4. You can use a solvent, for example, acetone, turpentine, or ammonia. Put a few drops on the sponge and wipe the greasy stain from the candle.

Products made of suede look expensive and impressive, but require scrupulous care. There are several ways to remove wax from this material, let's look at them.

Fur

  1. It is more difficult to remove adhered wax from fur products, but this does not mean that the task is impossible. Since the fur can not be subjected to high temperatures, iron and napkin will not help.
  2. In this case, you must use the freeze. If it's winter, send the item to the balcony so that the wax hardens. In warm time, perform manipulations by placing the thing in the freezer for a while.
  3. You can also rub the stain with pieces of ice to create cold temperatures. When the wax hardens, begin to remove it from the pile slowly and carefully.
  4. Similarly, paraffin can be removed from the surface of natural or artificial fur, velvet, suede, velor, other fabrics with a long or short nap.

  2. If the first method is not to your liking, you need to soak a denim product for a while. This procedure will get rid of wax stains. Make a solution of hot water and powder. An hour later, wash the thing in the machine.
  3. Not many people know that traces of wax can remain long enough. If you do not want to wash the product several times, you can resort to a little trick. Cover the stain with paraffin detergent for dishes. If the procedure did not help, repeat the steps. After that, wash the thing in the classic way.

  3. After a specified time the tool does not need to be flushed. Send clothes straight to the washing machine. Set the appropriate mode. You can wash your own delicate items.
  4. It happens that the candle drops remain on the Bolognev product. Do not despair ahead of time. The problem can be solved in the same way as described earlier. Detergent for dishes to cope with the task. After this thing you need to wash in the machine.

  2. Once again, the situation will save the high-quality detergent for dishes on a helium basis. Dampen the product at the site of pollution with ordinary water, apply a small amount of the soap composition to the cloth.
  3. After complete drying, wash the item in warm water on your own. If this procedure did not help, you should use the services of dry cleaning. Otherwise, there is a risk of spoiling delicate material.

  1. In most cases, wax on clothes can be found after feasts and all sorts of festivities. In addition, people face a similar problem after cosmetic procedures.
  2. If you notice pollution in time, wax from clothes can be easily removed in a few minutes. Treat the problem area with warm vegetable oil. The composition must be taken in a minimum amount, just a few drops.
  3. Wait a couple of minutes for the oil to soak in. Remove contamination with gel-based dish detergent. In such a situation, you can resort to special oil-based napkins.
  4. They can be purchased at a cosmetic store. Unfortunately, not always this tool helps. Therefore it is necessary to resort to using olive or cosmetic oil. Moisten a cotton swab in the composition and several times wipe the site of contamination.
