How to make artificial snow: 11 ways

Real snow can be brought from the street, put in a basin and pamper children. But this magic will not last long, because it will melt in a matter of minutes. To decorate a Christmas tree, window sills, candles and other parts, you can use artificial snow, which is easily done at home. In some cases, you can even make snowballs from it.  How to make artificial snow

Candles and Talc

To produce dry snow, prepare glitter (preferably gold, silver, blue or pearl). Also put a kitchen grater, baby talc without fragrances (powder), a few white paraffin candles next to it.

Put the candle in the fridge for half an hour or in the freezer for 10-15 minutes so that it will freeze well.After a time, rub it on a small section grater. To create a flickering effect, add small glitters to the chips (color at your discretion).

The resulting composition does not leave traces, does not dissolve in water and does not change shape upon contact with it. As a rule, artificial snow of this kind is used to decorate Christmas balls and Christmas trees, painting windows and window sills.

Styrofoam

The easiest and most common way to make artificial snow at home. To do this, get a piece of foam in the box from under the household appliances or electronics (they have less granules). Cook a few eggs with a white (not red) shell. Clean them, remove the films. Place in a tight plastic bag, put on a hard surface and crush with a rolling pin into powder. When the shell is ready, you can mix it with glitter, and then proceed to the scenery. Artificial snow is attached to PVA glue on sprigs of spruce / fir trees, windows are decorated with them, creating various patterns. The composition is used for packing transparent Christmas balls.

Baby diapers

Strange as it may sound, artificial snow can be made from disposable diapers or white diapers. The fact is that such attributes absorb moisture due to the sodium polyacrylate contained in the composition. In the swollen state, the drug looks like real snow.

To properly perform the procedure, pull out a cotton-like packing from the diapers / diapers. Tear it into very small particles, then place it in a deep bowl. Begin slowly pouring cold purified water and at the same time knead the mixture with your hands. In the end, you get a decoration that is difficult to distinguish from real snow. The attribute is used to create snowballs, snowmen, holiday decorations, suggesting the presence of peculiar snowdrifts.

Baking soda and shaving foam

Transfer the soda to a small bottle so that it is convenient to mix it with other ingredients. In a deep container squeeze out a bottle of foam and simultaneously pour soda, and then immediately mix. Act intermittently: poured, mixed, poured again. On 1 cylinder of foam it is necessary one and a half packs of soda.When mixing is complete, put the mixture in the fridge for 5 minutes. Polyethylene

Very often, housewives use dummy polyethylene, which is wrapped in household appliances during transportation for better cargo safety. Take 1 square. m material, twist it into a tight tube, then rub it on a grater with small divisions. Combine the resulting air mass with pearlescent glitter, add 3-5 bags of potato starch and some filtered water. Stir until the composition is homogeneous.

After that, dry it on the battery or in direct sunlight. Gut a little with a fork, then proceed to the scenery. The composition looks very beautiful and natural on fluffy artificial Christmas trees and natural firs. Toothpaste

After that, the voids are filled with snow patches. Sprayed must be extremely neat, because the drops fly in different directions. Get the cheapest white toothpaste without colored granules. Squeeze half the tube into the container, add a little filtered water to make the composition more liquid, creamy. Put a toothbrush in it, direct it to the object that you want to process. Slide your finger across the bristles up and release, so that the spray formed a speck on the subject.

Starch and soap

Grate the bar of white soap with a fine grater, mix it with 3 packets of potato or corn starch. Boil 200-250 ml. water, pour boiling water into the composition, then whisk the mixture with a whisk, forks or a mixer until a thick foam is formed.

As a result, you get a kind of frost. To begin the procedure, take an enameled pan, pour 5 liters of water into it and add 2 packs of table salt. Put the pot on the fire, stir and heat until the composition is dissolved. When this happens, turn off the stove, put the branches in the tank and wait 4-6 hours. During this time, the salt is absorbed into the needles and forms the original snow crust. At the end of the period, remove the branches and leave them to dry for half an hour.

Edible artificial snow
