Consider each step in order.

How to get rid of ingrown hair in the bikini area

Causes of ingrown hairs

  1. When hair removal or depilation is carried out without complying with the preparatory actions, the bulb is damaged. Hair grows in the other direction, as a result of which it cannot “pierce” the upper layer of the dermis.
  2. The most common causes are hormonal imbalances. It provokes diseases of the endocrine system, therefore, estrogen begins to be produced with double the force.
  3. It is not uncommon for the hair channel to become overgrown due to the fact that it was damaged during the epilation process. It is often possible to observe that several hairs start growing at the same time from one bulb. One of them will be ingrown.
  4. If epilation is done with wax or sugar paste using strips (removal against growth), the hair often breaks off between the upper and lower layers of the dermis. As a result, the bulb is not removed, provoking the effect of ingrowth.
  5. If we talk about depilation, the procedure is often carried out with a razor with a blunted blade. The consequence of such actions is considered to be cutting the skin along with part of the hair. Ingrown hairs appear due to further disruption of growth.
  6. If, after the procedure, you wear pressure underwear made of synthetic fibers, the skin stops breathing. The effect of steaming weakens and softens the hair, with the result that they can not break through the upper layer of the dermis. The hairs curl, forming a tubercle under the skin.
