Fry pepper in tomato sauce

One of the classic recipes with tomatoes and garlic presents us pepper inas a tasty snack or second course.

For cooking you will need:

  • Tomatoes - 500 g
  • Garlic - 4 teeth.
  • Sunflower oil - 50 g.
  • Ground black pepper, coriander, salt, sugar - to taste.

  • Fresh sweet pepper - 4 pcs.

Tomatoes must be peeled, for this they are cut with a cross and put boiling water for half a minute. Then the tomatoes get a slotted spoon or poured through a colander and pour cold water. After such a “contrasting soul”, the film exfoliates by itself.

The resulting pulp is ground in a puree or cut into cubes, seasonings are ground and fried in a heated frying pan with oil (25-30 g). First, garlic is sprinkled for about a minute until a spicy aroma is gone, and then tomatoes and greens are added, salted and seasoned with the mixture. You can not add sugar, but it will make the sauce more "voluminous."

The sauce is stewed for about 30 minutes under a lid, then removed from the heat and allowed to cool. You can grind the mixture with a blender until smooth.

Peppers can be roasted whole or peeled. The flesh is spread on the pan and cooked on all sides until golden brown.

Preparing a vegetable snack 40-60 minutes. Serve the dish, pouring over sauce and decorating with fresh greens. These peppers go well with fish, meat, cereals, or as a separate dish.

  • Sunflower oil.

Wash and clean all vegetables. Chop the onion and pepper in half rings, and the carrot into strips, chop the greens. Heat the pan, pour the oil. First, fry the onions so that it becomes soft, add carrots, peppers and herbs, salt the vegetables and simmer under the lid until all the ingredients are soft. Before removing from the heat, add a little sugar and a tomato in the sauce (fresh tomato is cut into quarters of thin rings), stirred and left under the lid, turning off the heat.
