 Character cat breed Cymric

Welsh cats have outstanding intelligence. They quickly learn and can independently open the door and get everything they want. They have another habit, more characteristic of dogs, to hide or bury dear to themselves things.

Fact! Cymric water is not afraid. Most often they like water treatments and entertainment.

Cats of this breed are not endowed with an expressive cat's voice, but they like to talk or purr cutely, thus creating a dialogue with the owner.Like dogs, they are unusually attached to their owner, they know how to find a common language with the child, as well as the rest of the pets living with them in the same territory. Despite the outward calm, the Cymrik are very sociable cats. They find it difficult to be alone with themselves.

Health and content

Genes, due to which both Manx and Cymrik do not have tails, can influence the health of cats. In the case when both parents are carriers of this gene, the kittens may die before being born. Having a gene from one of the parents, babies may suffer from Manx syndrome. In such animals, the spine can be split, as well as have other disorders. Congenital abnormalities of the gastrointestinal tract and genitourinary system can occur.

Fact! As a rule, congenital defects make themselves felt up to six months. Therefore, do not buy a kitten up to 6 months of age. Cymrik usually live no more than 14 years.

The Welsh cat, of course, does not have a luxurious and long tail, but there are nerve fibers in the place where it should have been. This zone in the animal is very sensitive. Therefore, you do not need to grab him by the tail of a piece or "slap on the tailless pope." It can be very painful. When you want to lift a Cymric, you need to support him by the chest with one hand and hold the back of the paws with the other, so as not to burden the spine.

Hygiene procedures are no different from those that require more tailed pets. They must be combed, about once every 3 days, and every day during periods of molting. Brush your ears and teeth every 7-10 days. Sometimes bathe a special cat shampoo or childish without fragrances.

In order for the animal to go to the tray, and not past it, it must be in an accessible place and always be clean. It is best to buy a special toilet for the cat in the pet store, inside which a special basket is placed - thus, the paws and fur of the cat will always remain dry.

The nutrition of the Welsh cat must be balanced and of high quality. It should include all the necessary vitamins and trace elements that are necessary to maintain a pet's coat in a decent form. Since the cat is quite active and mobile, then its food should be appropriate.

Attention! Cymric is not a cat that breeding is easy. Even when crossing perfectly healthy cats with high pedigree data, kittens are born that have many serious pathologies that are incompatible with life.

Unscrupulous sellers sometimes go to the trick to earn money on cute mongrel kittens, they stop their tails. Then they give out for menses, Cymrik and Kurbob.

You can buy Cymrika only abroad, in a nursery with a good reputation. It should carefully check all the documents and the reputation of the seller.
