But still it is necessary not only to provide good nutrition during this period, because breast milk should be endowed with a full set of beneficial substances so that the baby develops normally and is not sick.

You should not forget about sweets either, as they bring certain benefits. For example, gingerbread will not only bring joy to a nursing woman due to taste, but also saturate the body with fast carbohydrates,that give energy and boost mood.

These substances are part of the cells and tissues, providing:

  • normal work of the muscles of the heart;
  • support of the liver and nervous system;
  • normal concentration of sugar.

However, during lactation it is impossible to immediately eat a large amount of gingerbread, especially if they are bought in the store, and not cooked at home. Some manufacturers can add to the product and flavors, and spices, which in most cases, the children's body begins to reject. The consequences in this case may be colic, allergies, abdominal distention in the crumbs.

Pediatricians advise to eat the first gingerbread after birth, when the baby is more than three months old, that is, at that period when its digestive system has become significantly stronger. The first portion should consist of a small piece, less than half, preferably in the first half of the day, then, after several feedings, it was possible to observe whether the gingerbread did not affect the children's body negatively.

However, if a rash appears on the tender skin of the child or changes in the gastrointestinal tract show up, you will have to forget about the gingerbread.It is possible to repeat the attempt and add gingerbread into the diet after two weeks, again introducing in small portions, but it is advisable to replace the gingerbread by choosing another manufacturer.

If everything is normal, and no pathological reaction followed within 36 hours, the portion can be increased. But doctors warn that the rate during breastfeeding is no more than 4 pieces per day.

Those women who love gingerbread were hardly interested before the baby was born, which is part of the delicacy, but now you need to pay close attention to the ingredients. There should be no thickeners and emulsifiers, dyes and preservatives. It is not advisable to stop at the gingerbread, which are composed of nuts or jam, and the surface is richly watered with chocolate icing or artificial.

Nevertheless, risks in this period, buying gingerbread, can be avoided if you master the easy recipe and prepare this type of sweets yourself, using those natural products that do not harm the baby, but will bring real pleasure not only to the mother, but to all family members.

 Breast-fed gingerbread

There are a lot of recipes for gingerbread, but during lactation it is still better to stay on diet.

For cooking you will need the following products:

  • 700 gr. flour;
  • a glass (optional) - kefir, sour cream or ryazhenka;
  • 1 or 2 glasses of sugar (the amount depends on taste preferences);
  • 200 gr. water;
  • some salt;
  • soda, but it is not necessary to quench it habitually with vinegar due to the presence of an acidic milky environment.

In a large, wide container, soda is added to the selected dairy product, and then half of the measured sugar and salt. When these ingredients have been thoroughly mixed, the flour is gradually added in portions. You will need to knead until your hands remain clean, without sticking lumps.

Now it is very convenient and easy to roll a long harness from dough, which should then be cut into separate, identical-sized pieces. Having formed the future gingerbread, they are spread on a baking sheet, which is pre-covered with special paper designed for this process. During heat treatment, the gingerbread will begin to grow, so on the baking sheet they should be placed at a distance from each other.

In the oven, the billet is sent only after it has warmed up to 200 degrees. Sweet is baked for a small amount of time - about 30 minutes. By this time the syrup should be ready. Preparing it during lactation is quite simple: the remaining sugar is boiled with water for 20 minutes. You can make it original by adding mint leaves to the preparation. Taking out the finished gingerbread and placing on a dish, they are carefully poured syrup.
