How to get rid of ear mites in cats

Usually therapy consists of several stages:

  • cleansing the auricle from crusts and wax;
  • the destruction of parasites by insecticidal drops;
  • the use of anti-inflammatory drugs that clean and itch;
  • strengthening cat immunity.

On average, treatment takes from 14 to 21 days, because you need to destroy both adults and eggs. If you follow all the recommendations, it will be easier for the cat after the first or second procedure, the ears will heal quickly, and it will stop constantly itching.

Hygiene procedures

You will need a stable table on which a sick animal can fit, a towel to put under the patient's tail, and medications directly. Rinse ears advise chlorhexidine, special lotions or peroxide. The latter, despite some concerns, is completely harmless to the animal. Veterinary pharmacies also sell drops for ear care, such as Rosinka, which comes with a pipette.

A more natural and safer option is green tea.Boil 15 g of dried leaves with 200 ml of boiling water, do not use sachets and flavored options with various additives. Insist until cool. No sugar, honey or other sweeteners.

Drops from ear mites

The cat should be protected from contact with homeless animals, regularly bathe and clean its ears. The nutrition of a furry family member should be balanced. It is recommended to strengthen the pet's immunity with the help of Echinacea tincture or “Gamavita”.
